18 men from North Texas were arrested. Among those taken into custody were seven individuals of Telugu origin—Nikhil Bandi, Monish Galla, Nikhil Kummari, Jaikiran Mekala, and Karthik Rayapati. The charges against these men are serious and include offenses like evading arrest and solicitation of prostitution, both of which are considered significant crimes under Texas law.

The situation becomes even more concerning with the fact that two of the 18 individuals were detained on suspicion of soliciting prostitution from minors. This charge is particularly severe, as it is classified as a second-degree felony in Texas, carrying heavy penalties.
