This rig gives you a guaranteed presentation and keeps you fishing in all conditions.
The rig is a variation on the mono D with a blowback tube to create a long D. This makes the bottom bait sit lower down, near the bend of the hook and helps the rig to flip and turn faster and give great hook holds.
This rig is impossible to tangle and will keep you fishing in all sorts of conditions.
And if I had to choose one rig to fish with for the rest of my life, no matter what type of venue, lake, river, weed, silt, this is the one.
Many anglers are obsessed with combi rigs, spinner rigs, and rigs that have extra flexibility and movement near the hook. But if a rig can easily spin in, it can spin out just as quickly. And whenever you introduce a swivel or a supple section into a rig, there’s a chance that it will tangle – either in flight or while it’s fishing. You don’t need to add movement near the hook to catch more carp. You don’t need a thinner material near the hook to catch more carp.
