Indian Doctors H-1B In US At Risk Of Deportation?

As the U.S. prepares for the presidential election on November 5, a group of Indian-origin doctors is calling for some important changes. Dr. Satheesh Kathula, the President of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI), is speaking up about the challenges Indian doctors face, especially those on H-1B visas.

AAPI is a large group representing over 120,000 Indian-origin doctors in the U.S. Dr. Kathula highlighted some key issues in a recent interview, focusing on healthcare and immigration reforms. He explained that many Indian doctors in the U.S. have been working on H-1B visas for 15-20 years. While they continue to help communities, they still face uncertainty about their visa status because the green card process is very slow.
