Answer to the popular question:
“What is the difference between Hemp Oil and CBD Oil?”

CBD is actually a chemical compound from the cannabinoid family, which is found in the cannabis plant. Until recently, it was greatly overshadowed in news and media by the better-known cannabinoid, THC.

THC is what gives you a “High” when it’s consumed and is the main chemical that has given cannabis a bad rap in the past. CBD on the other hand, gives you many of the same health benefits without the psychoactive effects of THC.

Because of this, CBD is beneficial for athletes whose sports test for THC or professionals who must pass drug tests for work.

Hemp, is not a chemical, but is a special strain of the cannabis plant. In fact, in 2014 a standard was decided upon that any cannabis plant with less than 0.3% THC content would be considered “Industrial Hemp”.

Now that we know what each substance actually is, we can define the difference
As you can probably guess, Hemp Oil is oil that is derived from any hemp plant. CBD oil on the other hand can come from any cannabis plant, but always contains high amounts of the cannabinoid CBD.

So, most CBD oil is also hemp oil, but not all hemp oil qualifies as CBD Oil.
