The Arkansas Times Medical Cannabis Wellness Expo
A patient’s guide to laboratory testing for medical cannabis in Arkansas and the pharmacist consultant program.

Dr. Brandon Thornton of Little Rock is co-owner and CEO of Steep Hill Arkansas, a cannabis science company with a focus on analytical testing. He provides pharmacist consultant solutions to cannabis businesses, including patient counseling on cannabis products, the creation of educational materials, physician outreach and staff training on pharmaceutical compounding methods. Dr. Thornton serves on the Quality Assurance & Patient Safety Committee of the American Society of Cannabis Pharmacists and as secretary for the Arkansas Cannabis Industry Association. He is a member of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians and has completed detailed cannabis training through their TCMI program. Thornton also has experience working in the Food and Drug Administration MedWatch program in Rockville, Maryland. He earned his doctor of pharmacy degree from McWhorter School of Pharmacy at Samford University and is licensed to practice pharmacy in multiple states.
