Texas Judge Grants Temporary Injunction Blocking The State’s Ban on Delta 8 THC



A Texas judge granted a temporary injunction blocking the state’s ban on hemp-derived delta-8 THC products.

Congress sent President Joe Biden a large-scale infrastructure bill that contains provisions aimed at letting scientists study the actual marijuana that consumers buy from dispensaries—instead of using only government cannabis.

“Americans support legalized marijuana, and now Congress is catching up,” Sen. John Hickenlooper (D-CO), who sponsored the provision, told Marijuana Moment. “When it’s signed into law, our bill is an important step toward researching how we can regulate cannabis-impaired driving safely and accurately.”
A poll found that 62 percent of U.S. adults support the “national legalization of marijuana.” The survey, which shows that 54 percent of Republicans and 68 percent of Democrats are on board, is the second in recent days to show broad public support for ending cannabis prohibition.

Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-CO) said he would consider adding cannabis banking language to other big pieces of legislation if it doesn’t get enacted through the National Defense Authorization Act.

What they found was that consuming marijuana concurrently with substances like psilocybin, LSD, DMT, ayahuasca or mescaline increased the intensity of the trip in a dose-dependent manner.

Use of cannabis together with psychedelics was “associated with higher scores of mystical-type experience, ego-dissolution and visual alterations,” the study, published last week in the journal Psychopharmacology, states. And in general, the more marijuana a person said they used, the more intense the psychedelic effect.

A review of rodent studies suggested “the neuroprotective potential of [cannabis-derived phytocannabinoids] and [resveratrol] for in vivo models of” Parkinson’s disease.
