Take your holiday brunch up a notch with this easy California Cream Cheese with Cranberries and Walnuts. It mixes classic holiday flavors with cream cheese and yogurt for a creamy bagel topping or dip.
My family celebrates the holidays with a big fiesta Christmas Eve. We have tons of tamales, treats and adult beverages. It usually makes for a late night (luckily Santa waits until everyone’s asleep to deliver gifts).
It’s still tradition for us to open gifts bright and early Christmas morning. To keep it easy we have a spread of breakfast foods so everyone can serve themselves throughout the morning.
This is as great way to accommodate different dietary needs and taste preferences. Plus it makes it easier on the person in charge of breakfast. Once the holiday brunch spread is out – you can enjoy your company.
We always have some family favorites like pan dulce, fruit, yogurt, coffee, milk, hot cocoa, and bagels. But this year I have a new holiday inspired cream cheese recipe that’s delicious and is a pretty addition to the table – California Cream Cheese with Cranberries and Walnuts.
Ingredients:
- 12oz. Real California Cream Cheese
- ½ c. Real California Yogurt, vanilla
- 1/3c. Dried cranberries
- 1/3c. Walnuts, chopped
- 1tsp. Cinnamon
- 2tsp. Orange zest
Directions: Mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Let set in the refrigerator until ready to use.
(You can make this the day before and it will keep in the fridge overnight.)
Enjoy on bagels, toast or as a dip.
