Ron Jaworski's Foundation makes a donation to Whitman Park

Six years ago, Whitman Park was one of the largest urban hot spots for illegal dumping in the state of New Jersey. It was full of bricks, cinder blocks, roofs falling from buildings, graffiti, broken glass, empty bottles, and other trash all over the site of the Whitman Tigers. Below the buildings, the United States Environmental Protection Agency found soil containing mercury and other toxins.

The people of Camden knew their youth deserved better than these conditions that their complex was in. When Ron Jaworski found out the conditions of the Whitman Tigers field, he knew he had to help out the community of Camden. His Foundation, Jaws Youth Playbook, donated $80,000 to help this initiative grow into a new multi-purpose turf field, playground, baseball fields, and overall secure space in the community to gather and enjoy their town.

“These kids can be the next Division 1 Athletes and NFL Players that come out of this community.” Ron Jaworski stated.

We thank everyone who has supported our Foundation to grow this community into a place where our youth can play, learn, and succeed.
