New York City has some of the greatest food options in the United States, maybe the world. When you travel there, you should prepare to have a lot of dining options to select from.

Even though you may be worried about staying healthy while trying your favorite types of food, there are always great options at most restaurants.
You can look for:

-Low carb
-Low sodium
-High protein
-Plant-based
-Healthy fats
-Grilled and baked foods; steamed is also a great option

Many entrees also incorporate healthy foods–like legumes, nuts, certain beneficial spices or other special handling. More restaurants have updated their menus to reflect the healthy lifestyle practices of their customers and allow you to incorporate them into your healthy living routine.

The menu at Gelso and Grand (one of the restaurants featured in this video) had some great options if you love Italian food–great location and amazing staff and the food was incredible.
