One state will potentially make it easier for eligible students to take medical cannabis products during the day.
According to Fox 2 Detroit, Democratic representatives in Michigan’s state legislature this week introduced a new bill.
The measure would allow K-12 students to take medical cannabis or CBD products with low amounts of THC.
Eligible students would be allowed to take medical cannabis products on school grounds and on school buses.
However, a designated member of the staff would need to be authorized to administer the medical cannabis.
Medical cannabis has been legal in Michigan since 2008. The state legalized adult-use recreational cannabis in 2019.
