Summer Westerbur, CEO of Kairos Insurance Group Cannabis Division celebrated 19 years of running her own insurance agency in January. The firm serves as a boutique employee benefits agency for thousands of people across multiple states and includes a prominent division providing employee benefits to the often maligned but fast growing cannabis industry. Summer is also the co-founder of Simcha, a kosher CBD company. She’s a cannabis and psychedelics advocate.

Summer is a cannabis retail license holder in the Northeast — stay tuned for more information. She serves on the Tri-State Regional Board of Cannabis Chamber of Commerce and is relocating, bringing her experience in Colorado to an emerging regulated market in the Northeast.

She has been an invited speaker at cannabis conferences around the U.S., including MJBizCon 2022. She has also recently spoken at CanEX Jamaica, CannaOne New Jersey, and more. She contributes thought leadership columns to publications including MJBizDaily, Cannabis News Florida, South Florida Hospital News. She is a member of the Rolling Stone Council Culture.
