MONDAY 11TH MARCH 2024 – CRIME WATCH LIVE
Today’s Highlights:
The country has recorded seven (7) murders between Saturday and Monday.
• The murders took place in the Western Division, Southern Division, Port of Spain Division, and Eastern Division.
• One quadruple murder was recorded in the killings.
The country has recorded its first quadruple murder for the year after four men were shot dead execution-style by men dressed in police gear in Mayaro early on Monday 11th March 2024.
• The deceased were identified as 59-year-old Buddy George, his two sons 20-year-old Jeremiah George and 37-year-old Marcus Buddy George, and a relative identified as 29-year-old Dion Keyon Mendoza, all said to be cocoa farmers from Martha Street, Couva.
A man was fatally shot near his home in Laventille on Sunday 10th March, 2024.
• The deceased was identified as 26-year-old Josiah Pierre of Picton Road in Laventille.
A man was shot and killed in Cocorite on Sunday 10th march, 2024.
• The deceased was identified as 20-year-old Javannie Holder of Waterhole Road, Cocorite.
A mechanic was shot dead while sitting inside a vehicle at his home in La Romain on Saturday 9th March 2024.
• The deceased was identified as 46-year-old Ryan Abdool, a father of two, who resided along the Southern Main Road in La Romain.
In April 2021, Abdool was charged with larceny of $298,780.
• Between 2016 and 2017, Abdool reportedly took money from several people to purchase and repair several vehicles, including high-end ones but never made good on his promises.
• He spent some time in jail before being able to secure bail.
An 11-year-old girl was reportedly abducted and sexually assaulted in Couva on Friday 8th March, 2024.
A 45-year-old man is currently warded at the Sangre Grande Hospital after he was stabbed during a brawl near a bar in Rio Claro on Sunday 10th March 2024.
An attorney was killed during a road traffic accident in Siparia on Saturday 9th March, 2024.
• The deceased was identified as 69-year-old Everald Davidson, an attorney at law of Sobrian Street in Siparia.
The decomposed body of an elderly man was found in Longdenville on Friday 8th March, 2024.
• The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Woseley Peters of Ravine, Sable Longdenville.
