conversation between Dr. Muralikrishnan Dhanasekaran and his colleague, Dr. Manoj Govindarajulu, moderated by Dr. Rajiv Kumar from National Chemical Lab, Pune.
Cannabis, one of the oldest natural products known to humanity worldwide has been used by various civilizations, cultures, and religions before Christ. The speakers discuss why cannabis was used by various civilizations and religions from the past to the present day. In addition, they focus on the pharmacokinetic effects and pharmacodynamic actions, current & future prophylactic, and therapeutic use.
SPEAKERS
Dr. Manoj Govindarajulu is a MD physician currently working as neuroscience fellow at Auburn. He has 15 years experience in academia and his research is based in neurological and eurodegenerative diseases.
Dr. Muralikrishnan Dhanasekaran, M. Pharm., Ph.D. (Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Jadavpur University, 1999) is a professor at Auburn University, U.S.A. He has published 4 books on Cannabis & Medicinal mushrooms, 108 articles, and 42 book chapters.

Dr. Rajiv Kumar
Dr. Rajiv Kumar Chaturvedi is the Ex Head and Dy Director of the National Chemical Laboratary in Pune, and a Former Head of the Innovation Center in Tata Chemicals. As a President of Catalysis Society of India Dr Rajiv Kumar has represented India in the G-8 Summit Task Force on Catalysis for Climate Change in Japan in 2008. He has received several National and International awards and recognitions for his work. He is the co-editor of three books on Cannabis, has published more than 180 research papers and has 65 patents to his credit.
