The annual checkup (also known as the physical or wellness visit) in the United States is performed using evidence-based data. This is in contrast to other health systems in the world, including China, where it’s fee-for-service; the more money you pay, the more tests you get, whether they’re really medically indicated or not. Doing more tests does not necessarily mean better health.
