Biggest Cannabis Plants I've Ever Seen are in (Southern Oregon)

Hey, I’m Scott, one of the owners of Harvest Helper, were one of the world’s biggest dealers of automatic trimmers and supplies. I got into the cannabis industry when it was still black market in WA when I was growing up. It’s taken me from Washington to Northern California, Southern Oregon, and now I’m in Oklahoma. I just really love the cannabis industry and have literally followed it for the last 20 years.
I have seen sun grown cannabis from a lot of places, but the place that always stands out to me for the biggest cannabis plants is still Southern Oregon.
A lot of our customers from Southern Oregon need help with automating their harvests, because their harvests are so large, we were down there so much we put a store there.
The plants in Southern Oregon have been known to yield 10 pounds per plant, I even hear of some people getting 15 pounds a plant, it’s hard to believe but when you see the plants you begin to understand these aren’t just made-up numbers! There just the biggest damn plants you’ve ever seen.
This breeding is done purposely, as 15-foot plants are not easy to maintain, but they do yield very high if you are only allowed to grow a small number of them. They have strains like Rogue Valley Wreck, that has huge yields, named after a valley in Southern Oregon, so it’s not just a growing technique, it’s the genetics too, but they don’t get this big just anywhere!
Growers that don’t need to worry about plant numbers usually prefer their plants are not 15 feet tall and they’ll just grow more plants to make up for it. Some people say growing big will diminishes your quality, not sure if that’s true or not. It is a fact that with a bigger plant you’ll have bigger thicker buds which can increase your chances of bud rot though, so if you grow big you’ll have to always stay on top of that. Growing strains that are resistant to mold, but still have huge yields is the first way to work on this.
In Southern Oregon land is sometimes sold with spray painted prices on plywood by the highway, so if you can’t find some property, you’re looking for online that you saw when you were driving, it might just be because it’s not online! These people don’t all use internet, and some land deals are still done with cash, or a written agreement and a handshake here.
In Oregon the home grow act has allowed Oregon residents to grow 4 plants and
MMJ allows 6 mature plants • 12 immature plants
As well as recreational growers that have gotten licensed in Southern Oregon.
It’s not a bunch of corporations or big cannabis companies here in Oregon state though, most of the recreational cannabis growers are small businesses.
This is where most of the biggest farms are in Oregon though, such as Applegate Valley Organics, who are not just big in size, but big on quality too, which is hard to do!
As well actor Jim Belushi who is here now growing cannabis, and has a reality show they are recording on the Discovery channel about his farm here in Southern Oregon. (Eagle Point, OR)

A lot of the Recreational growers in Southern Oregon try and sell their products in stores in cities like Portland, Salem, and Eugene where they can get more money than they can from the dispensaries in Southern Oregon.
Grants Pass is the center of this growing paradise where they boast a sign saying “it’s the climate” when you pull into town, which is hilarious. The cities like Grants Pass are where growers go to get nutrients, dirt, automatic trimmers, and supplies. You don’t have to go far in to see cannabis is the economy here!

Grants Pass, Oregon is one of the coolest places I have ever lived, where there is a free spirit in the air, basically a mix of growers, hippies, and bikers that make up the character of this community, as well as a lot of Americans that have just decided to go off grid.
A lot of people here not only grow their own cannabis, but their own fruits and vegetables as well, and teach their kids how to do the same, a good number of parents even choose to homeschool their children in Southern Oregon!
I know what some people are going to say, what about the trees in the emerald triangle? I know Mendo Dope has done cool videos showing people how to grow 10-pound plants. I know they can grow just as big, but I don’t feel like they are as big on average down there.
But let us know in the comments if you think you know of a place that grows larger plants then the growers in Southern Oregon, tell us what you think!
That’s it, thanks for watching and have a smoking day!
