Biotique Cucumber Pore Tightening Refreshing Toner Product Review

If you have problem skin, especially oily skin, you should include a toner in your daily skin care regimen. Oily skin gives you smooth skin. However, it also has its drawbacks. I wouldn’t say I like the way it looks on my face. I’m not too fond of the shiny texture and the blemishes it causes in general. Let’s also not forget the random appearance of buttons. When I had the opportunity to visit the Biotique counter recently, the Cucumber Water Toner was the only product I chose. Seeing cucumber as the main ingredient gave me hope that oily skin issues could be minimized. I was looking for a toner containing cucumber extract and finally got one.

What Biotique Claims About Cucumber Water Toner:

Biotique Cucumber Water Toner is a highly effective refreshing antiseptic refresher that contains coriander, gall nut, cucumber, and berry extracts. Specially formulated to soothe the skin, it contains peppermint oil to help tighten pores after cleansing.

About Biotique Organic Cucumber Pore Tightening Toner

β€œCucumber, coriander, gallus, berries, peppermint oil, and cool waters from the Himalayan foothills are mixed to create this pore-tightening toner. It’s formulated to give the complexion a perfect pH and help keep the skin in its purest state,” says Biotics.

List of ingredients :

  • Post of Berberis Aristata (Daruhaldi Kwath) 0.1%
  • Coriandrum Sativum Extract (Dhania Kwath) 2%
  • Quercus Infectoria Ext. (Majuphal Kwath) 2%
  • Mentha Arvensis Oil (Mint Tail) 0.85%
  • Water Cucumis Sativus (Kheera Jal) Q.S.

Key Ingredients:

Berberis Aristata Ext: Helps control acne by inhibiting the growth of acne-causing bacteria and reducing inflammation with its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Dhania Kwath:Β Dhania juice or Dhania powder and rose water can be mixed to form a paste which can be applied on the face to help control acne, pimples and blackheads due to its antibacterial and astringent properties. It is advisable to use Dhania in small amounts as large amounts can cause skin irritation and inflammation.

Majuphal Kwath:Β The antibacterial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of Manjistha are beneficial for the skin. Manjistha extract inhibits acne-causing bacteria and helps control external inflammation such as ulcers and skin conditions.

CONSISTENCY:

Biotique Bio Cucumber Pore Tightening Toner is excellent for soothing the skin. This toner sports transparent greenish water with the sweet smell of citrus and cucumber. The product is greenish transparent like water. Unlike other toners, it does not stick to the skin, and the smell is refreshing.

It gives a cooling effect on the skin when you apply it, which makes it perfect for summers. I used it in the morning and just before bed. It does dry out the skin a bit, so follow it up with a good moisturizer. The amount supplied in one bottle is sufficient for 3-4 months. I used it twice a day, and it lasted over 3 months.

HOW TO USE BIOTIC PORE RESTRICTING CUCUMBER TONER

Cleanse your face, moisten the cotton ball with the toner and apply it to your face and neck. Don’t forget to apply the Moisturizing Cream afterward.

Price: β‚Ή127 for 120ml

Packaging:Β Comes in a well-sealed cardboard comic. The inside of the bottle is a clear, translucent plastic material, making it easy to see how much I’ve used and when I need to buy the next one. The lid is green plastic.

Texture:Β The product is completely transparent, water-like, and lime-green. It has a sweet and subtle lemon scent, unlike others with a sticky and annoying smell. To describe it, it’s like the nimbu pani type; sometimes, I want to try the tonic.

My Experience with Biotique Cucumber Refreshing Toner:

I like this toner mainly because it is naturally based. It is extracted from all-natural herbs, which look very exotic. It does not contain alcohol, and I did not experience any jarring effects on my skin. However, when I first used the cucumber water, I felt a slight cooling/tingling sensation. But, the sensation subsided after about 1-2 seconds. I guess the tingling sensation is a β€œfix” for my oily skin and tightening my 24-hour active oil-secreting pores. It doesn’t feel astringent, nor does it feel harsh on my eyes. Applying common low-base astringents or other toners that claim to be alcohol-free, even though they are not, gives you a painful eye reaction. I’m glad this one doesn’t hurt my eyes. But the most important thing about this toner is its ability to control oily skin and prevent it. We all know that cucumber minimizes oil production on the skin, removing oil over time.

It also can keep your great face oil-free. I can also see fine dirt and grime on the cotton I used. It is effective in deep cleaning the face, which prevents skin problems.
