Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, many people of African descent have essentially been left to die. However, we are incredibly resilient and joyful people committed not only to surviving but also thriving. Keeping the “For Us By Us” ethos in mind, how can people of the African Diaspora work together to promote our own health, well-being, and joy through mutual aid, support, and skateboarding – in ways that don’t necessarily rely on mainstream or global north governments, institutions, and industries?
