As part of Black History Month, Tayseer Seminary hosted an event on the topic of “Building Prophetic Community: Serving God by Serving His Creation.” Thank you to Ustadha Zaynab Ansari for organizing and hosting, along with the Muslim Community of Knoxville (Masjid Annoor) and Annnor Academy of Knoxville.

Join us for a keynote talk by Atlanta power couple Imam Mansoor Sabree and Sr. Fatima Khokhar, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Ustadha Zaynab Ansari. The topic will be on building Prophetic community and how that can be done through service and love.
Fatima Khokhar is passionate about family life, stages of womanhood, and the spiritual nourishment of prayer. She believes in education as an aid to an evolutionary life of intentional service.This passion drives Fatima in her work both as a seeker of knowledge and as an educator.
Fatima is currently the assistant director of Hajja’s House Global Learning Center, an Islamically sound, Montessori inspired program serving infants through third grade. She has over 15 years experience teaching Quran and Arabic to children and adults. Fatima completed her post-secondary studies at the Abu Nour University in Damascus, Syria where she specialized in the Arabic language and Islamic Sciences. She also holds both a Primary (Prek – K) and Elementary (1st -3rd) Montessori diploma. Fatima is married with five beautiful children. Fatima enjoys reading, traveling, being outdoors, good coffee, and quality time with family and friends.
Imam Mansoor Sabree is an activist and nonprofit leader. He currently directs the Inner-City Muslim Action Network- Atlanta (IMAN-Atlanta ), a grassroots organization focused on health, wellness and healing in the inner-cities of the U.S. IMAN-Atlanta’s programs offer a holistic approach to transitional housing, spiritual development, life skills education, construction training, and job placement support for young men and returning citizens. IMAN is part of a larger national campaign that works on grassroots issues affecting communities of color in urban neighborhoods across the country such as housing, education, immigration, criminal justice reform.
Imam Mansoor is a long time Atlanta resident. In the past he served as the director and resident Imam of Atlanta’s oldest and largest African American Muslim community in the United States, The Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam (2015). Recently he was recognized among the “ Who’s Who 40 under 40 Muslim Leaders in Georgia” and inducted into the board of Religious Leaders at the historic Morehouse College (1867). Mansoor is a distinguished fellow of the American Muslim Civic Leadership Institute (AMCLI) from the University of Southern California.
