Cannabinoids beyond CBD and THC

As we learn more about cannabis, more cannabinoids come to light and create demand within the industry. As a result, most of the major CBD companies are adding CBG, CBN, and CBC options to their product lines. The industry is even shifting away from CBD and using cannabinoid hemp to describe the products.

Other cannabinoids have always been a factor for believers in full spectrum or whole plant extracts. But now that we are getting more information on the ‘minor cannabinoids,’ many users are experimenting with cannabis compounds beyond CBD and THC.

We think CBG has the most potential because it can activate CB receptors. CBD acts as an antagonist rather than binding and potentially increases CB receptor activity indirectly. Until recently, CBG was too expensive to produce for retail. Thanks to the recent increase in demand, botanists have figured out the perfect time to harvest for CBG extracts.
