You’ve heard CBD is great for many of the conditions seniors face as they age, but you’re not sure where or how to start this new therapy from the highly stigmatized cannabis plant. How and why does CBD help seniors and people living with dementia? What is the difference between CBD and THC? Can I use too much? How do I know what cannabis product to use and what is my dose? Is CBD really legal? Do I have to smoke it?

These questions and more keep many seniors from finding relief from the symptoms of aging with CBD and medical cannabis, CBD for Seniors is a short primer to help guide you in trying CBD or other medical cannabis for you or your loved one.

In this short book, we’ve extracted the most essential information that we have learned over our ten-year journey using medicinal cannabis for people in relationship with dementia. When our education about Alzheimer’s and related dementias began in 2010, we were average working people thrust into family caregiving, and through that experience, we became fierce advocates and educators.

We learned so much, and saw so much, that it became our mission to improve the lives of those in relationship with dementia through care gap coaching and plant-based education. CBD for Seniors draws on our ten years of experience as well as the interviews we’ve conducted over two years of the podcast.

My mom had greater focus and interaction when she was medicated with cannabis: she laughed, smiled, and communicated with us. Cannabis helped mom have a carefree attitude about losing her mind, and it even soothed her death rattle at the end. Cannabis helped ease my mom’s symptoms from the moment we started using it, until her last breath. But only because we were willing and able to make sure she had it.
