***DISCLAIMER: I am absolutely outraged by the events that are currently happening in the united states. I am white, and I am privileged because I am white. I will never understand the oppression that POC face every day. I will never have to worry about my safety going to the store, or for a run, or anywhere in public. And that makes me sick to my stomach that skin color can change that. How are we still living in a world that allows this behavior? This is not something that is just going to go away. We must collectively do our part. We need to hold each other accountable to a higher standard and make a meaningful difference. We can always do better, and we need to. A quote I always live by: “be the change you wish to see in the world. -Ghandi” And it weighs extra heavy on me today. I stand WITH you!
