Exercise, Mental Health, and Over 1 Million People: Here's What Was Found

Exercise & Mental Health – Over 1 million people participated in one of the largest studies ever conducted on the effects of physical exercise on mental health, published in 2018. Here’s what was found:

Those who consistently exercised reported, on average, approximately 40% fewer poor mental health days per month, in comparison to those who did not do any exercise at all.

And as it turns out, all forms of exercise in this study were associated with some decrease in mental health struggles, such as depression, stress and emotional problems. In fact, those who had a prior diagnosis of depression saw an even greater benefit from exercise than those without depression!
