Hemp vs. Cannabis, What's The Difference? – Precursor Acids – THCA / THC, CBDA / CBD

In 2011 Cannabis Genetics was mapped. The findings show the bio-synthetic pathways of the Cannabis Genome, and the Hemp Genome.

Bio-synthetic Pathways: “The chemical processes occurring within a living cell or organism that are necessary for the maintenance of life” (The Free Dictionary)

The bio-synthetic pathway of Cannabis ends with THCA & CBDA, OR – CBDA.

The bio-synthetic pathway of Hemp ends with ONLY – CBDA.

There is NO THC in Cannabis, only the acidic precursor – THCA (and/or CBDA).

There is NO THC in Hemp, only the acidic precursor – CBDA.

So Hemp is not a “low-THC” cousin, or “0.3%”…

Hemp is genetically free of THC!
