How Quality Improvement and PDSA Cycle can Transform Healthcare in India

Healthcare is a three-legged stool: Easy Access, Low Cost, and High Quality. India has successfully achieved easy access with its Health and Wellness and primary health clinics, and low cost to the patients by the introduction of the Ayushman Bharat scheme. The greatest challenge facing the Indian health care system today is the Quality of health care services delivered.

AAPI and its local partner, CETI, Collaboration to Eliminate TB among Indians, have been working for the past five years in training the workforce in India on quality improvement. Recently, CETI has received a grant by USAID to train District TB officers across India.

On January 5, CETI, with sponsorship from Emoryโ€™s Global Health Institute (Atlanta, USA) will hold a one-day leadership session to share, learn and discuss which tools and skill sets will be necessary to fill the healthcare quality gaps in India beyond TB.
