There’s something about the morning…
It’s magic time.
It’s when I actually notice the birdsong. It’s when I indulge in being-in-the-moment activities like just staring out the window – matcha cup in hand, thoughts unfettered.
In the morning the world feels fresh, and so do I.
Furthermore, I do my best thinking, my yoga, and my meditative practices in the morning, and it’s when I feel my most optimistic, empowered, and ready to take on the world. (Practice yoga with me.)
In short, the morning is a blissful, fleeting moment of connection before the entropy of the day begins.
Unless… it isn’t.
Because maybe it’s not for you.
Many people tell me, “Yeah, Ann, I’d love to get up earlier, but I’m just not a ‘morning person.’” And it’s not that I don’t believe their sincerity, it’s that I’m unwilling to see things as cut and dried, and carved in stone.
One of the most beautiful truths of life is that you can become what you want to become with dedication, motivation, and most importantly, desire.
See, maybe you haven’t been a morning person in the past, but that doesn’t mean you can’t become one. (I share several secrets on this in the video, such as the concept of neuroplasticity, as well as the science of habits.)
In essence, humans can change.
Hallelujah.
Obviously I’m passionate about the efficacy of getting up early, and implementing a powerful morning routine. Clearly. But that doesn’t mean I don’t understand how challenging getting up early can be. This is why I made today’s video.
I’ve done my very best to provide you with a bevy of useful tips and tricks that will help you to slowly but surely (or quickly) become a morning person… if that’s your desire.
