IHemp Michigan Update: Higher Hemp Prices, Hemp Meal For Hens Approved By MDARD

The Industrial Hemp Association of Michigan, more commonly called iHemp, hosted its quarterly meeting to update not only members, but hemp farmers with some great news.

Blain Bechtold, iHemp President, said the Michigan Department of Agriculture approved using hemp meal for laying hens, opening up a huge potential market for hemp in Michigan.

Bechtold also announced that iHemp Michigan is now working with New Line Processing, a New York-based financial services company, to offer both hemp and cannabis customers and companies a line of credit tied to a virtual wallet in smart phones that allows purchases of up to $800. Since the line of credit is with a tribal bank, it does not violate federal laws or risk getting the company shut down by Visa or Mastercard.

Profits from the sale of this product go directly to iHemp to support its mission to make hemp a very profitable agricultural product in Michigan.
