WHKY’s Arianna Mack was at CoMMA in Morganton for a public meeting that was held to discuss Charlotte’s interbasin water transfer request where she spoke with Don Newton, who attended the meeting. Ralph Mangum anchors the news and reports as a gas leak in Burke County earlier today forced the temporary closure of Lovelady Road and necessitated a “shelter in place” request. The leak was repaired and the request was lifted by 2:30 this afternoon. WHKY’s Rob Eastwood has a recap of Monday’s meeting of the Catawba County Board of Commissioners.
