Jess’ top 3 ways to cleanse your body with balance

It’s natural to indulge more than usual over the festive season and is part of living a healthy life. Come January, however, we’re often left feeling bloated, sluggish, lethargic, or simply not our most vibrant selves. This means many of us look to “quick fix” cleanses and detoxes to help us feel healthy once again, rather than ways to cleanse your body with balance.

The truth is that there are kinder, sustainable practices to bounce back with. Say good-bye to restrictive diets or fasting! Today, I’m sharing three ways to cleanse your body with balance, to help you feel your best again.

1. Enjoy cleansing wholefoods

Load up on wholefoods that naturally support healthy digestion and liver function. Aim for a diet rich in leafy greens, fruit, whole grains, legumes, healthy fats and lean protein. Prioritising these nutritious foods ensures you’re giving your body all the nutrients it requires to refresh and restore itself. Instead of worrying about eliminating specific foods (such as sugar, carbs, or chocolate) from your diet, place your intention on fuelling your body with the foods that make you feel fantastic!

2. Give your liver some love

Your liver is responsible for many of the detoxification and cleansing processes in your body, so it’s important to give it some love after a big festive season – particularly if you’ve been drinking more than normal.

I like to minimise my alcohol intake when I’m in need of a cleanse, just to give my body a chance to reset. I also make sure to take my Detox + Debloat vitamins daily. This formula supports your liver and reduces bloating and digestive discomfort, so it truly works wonders in supporting your body to detoxify and help you feel amazing again!

3. Prioritise sleep

Sleep is so important for cleansing and restoring your body. When you sleep, your body has the chance to repair and rejuvenate. On the other hand, when you haven’t been getting enough sleep, you may be more likely to make poorer food choices such as reaching for a sugary energy hit.

I encourage you to aim for 7-9 hours of good quality sleep per night to support your body’s natural cleansing processes. Developing a regular bedtime routine is a great way to help bring yourself back to balance after the silly season.
