Nettye Johnson, CHES is a wife, mom, marathoner, fit-foodie, author, podcaster, award-winning speaker/teacher, health educator and self-care strategist.

A life-long learner God gifted to teach, her passion and purpose is transformational education that helps people get unstuck and grow in their wellness, work, and faith walk.

With over 25 years experience in congregational, corporate, non-profit
and community spaces, Nettye has led teams sized from twelve to 1,000, trained over 50,000 professionals, and developed wellness programs with national scope and impact.

Nettye is founder of Wellness Applied that provides culturally relevant health education and wellness solutions. Science-based, faith-empowered education addressing health disparities, healthy weight maintenance, and self-care strategies are areas of specialty.

A Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Culture of Health Leader, Nettye
currently serves as National Physical Fitness Coordinator for the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. H.O.P.E. HHS Partnership, and Program Director of the Let’s Move National Baptist program missioned to normalize exercise in the
African-American community.

Nettye lives in Denham Springs, Louisiana with her husband Will and their two children.
