My latest recipe creation combines speed and sweet satisfaction in one apple-solutely heavenly concoction. With thin sliced apples sautéed to a golden hue within minutes, I adore this for a quick breakfast or a healthy dessert.
Pro Tip: I love to add some nuts or muesli for some crunch factor and an extra hit of nutrition. Divine!
Ingredients:
- 1 apple, sliced into thin wedges
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 sprigs thyme, leaves picked
To serve:
- 1 cup Greek yoghurt, or coconut yoghurt for dairy-free
Method:
Heat the coconut oil in a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. Add the apple slices and sauté for 1 minute whilst stirring to coat evenly in the oil.
Add the vanilla, maple, cinnamon and thyme leaves and stir to coat the apples. Sauté for 3-4 minutes or until golden and caramelised.
Serve with yoghurt of choice.
