Get ready for some major changes in the heart of Amsterdam. Starting this spring, smoking weed in public spaces in the city’s Red Light District will be banned. It’s all in an effort to limit tourism noise for local residents. Additionally, bars and restaurants must close earlier, and shops in the inner city can no longer display alcohol in their windows.
