POV: Camping out in a parking lot just to see a doctor in rural America

Imagine having to camp out overnight at a parking lot, hours away from your home, JUST to get healthcare? 😳

Well, that’s the brutal reality for some people who live in remote areas where there’s no hospitals or doctors near their homes.

They’re only option for care is free pop-up clinics likes the ones @remoteareamedical organizes to provide basic medical care to people across the US. 🙌🏼

The lack of healthcare access for millions of people is highlighted in the new film “Remote Chance: Health Care in Rural America.”
