Progress report shows marijuana impact on New York over the past few days



It’s been three years since the Marihuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA) passed in the New York State Legislature. The goal of the law is to provide a legal framework for regulating adult use and medical cannabis and created the Office of Cannabis Management.

Under the law, adults 21 or older are permitted to use and buy cannabis. The state also started issuing licenses for dispensaries. The Office of Cannabis Management released a report Thursday, showing how the last three years went.
