Singapore is unlikely to decriminalise the use of cannabis for medical purposes any time soon, says its Minister for Home Affairs and Law K. Shanmugam.
The response by the republic follows Thailand becoming the first country in Asia to decriminalise cannabis nationwide on June 9, with Malaysia now studying the possibility of allowing the use of cannabis and ketum for medical purposes.
Shanmugam said this in a virtual interview with The Star from his office in Singapore earlier this week.
