TAMU Student Organization – Hemp Building Guest Lecture from Ray Kaderli

Hemp is an emerging new crop with the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill making it legal to cultivate. Once again this crop will generate opportunity. Often, university campuses are where ideas and opportunities find their genesis. Building with hemp is one such opportunity. Builder, Ray Kaderli, was on campus to conduct a workshop about building homes with hempcrete and deliver a guest lecture on the topic. Texas A&M is leading in this new industry through a student organization. They are open to collaborate and help other universities launch similar student-lead organizations. Their group included horticulturalists, civil engineers, building science, architects, breeding for terpenes, environmental science, equine science, health science, and more.
