The Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development at the Tobago House of Assembly is placing more focus on research into Breast Cancer.

On Monday, the division launched the research project. Secretary Dr. Agatha Carrington said they’ve already received approvals for Public-Private Partnerships for treatment.

She said according to statistics there were 1.7 million women in the world diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012.
