Welcome to This Day In Health and Wellness!
In this video, we’ll explore some of the most memorable days in history that contributed to the health and wellness we enjoy today.
NATIONAL DEPRESSION SCREENING DAY 10/06
Depression is one of the leading causes of disability in the United States among people between the ages of 15 and 44. It is estimated that over 17 million adults in the United States had at least one major depressive episode in the past year.
From the discovery of the polio vaccine to the passage of the Clean Air Act, these events have had a profound impact on our lives.
We’ll also learn a little bit about the people behind these advances, and how their passion and dedication helped to make the world a healthier place so that you can look further into it.
If you or someone you know is struggling with depression or other mental health conditions, please know that you are not alone. There are people who care about you and want to help.
Please reach out for support.
