In this episode David sits down with Family Specialist, Natalie Jones, PhD to learn more about her experience as a competitive triathlete. Natalie shares her time spent training and competing in Iron Man competitions and also discusses her approach to nutrition, as well as other important topics that help her maintain her endurance and performance. Natalie also tells her inspiring story of biking across America with her brother.

As a health and fitness professional, Dr. Natalie Jones believes in lifestyle balance. Natalie has experience working with a wide variety of populations through many different health domains; including strength and conditioning, corporate wellness, community health, and student health services. Professionally Dr. Jones works on building communities that support a healthier, more physically active population, and more sustainable and enjoyable lifestyles throughout Kentucky.
Natalie attended college at Transylvania University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. Natalie continued her education at the University of Kentucky and received her Masters of Public Health in Health Behavior and Doctorate in Health Policy. She just biked across the United States with her brother from San Francisco, CA to Yorktown, VA. Natalie is a two-time Ironman finisher and competed in the 2019 USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships. Currently, Natalie is training for Ironman Arizona in November.
