The importance of professional healthcare was living in undeveloped times. If a disease or illness struck, people attempted to heal it using varying home remedies and folk cures. By the year 800, Scandinavian Vikings had created unique methods of curing maladies that are still in use today.
The residents of Skeljastair, Iceland have most likely had good dental health. However, the large amount of calculus found in the teeth definitely suggests tooth decay and the possibility of mouth infections. The small number of decayed teeth shows that a diet low in carbohydrates can keep even Vikings in good health as they avoid cavities.
Disregarding time, people have always been interested in turning away from the discomfort of various ailments. For example, music used at seaside resorts for therapeutic treatment makes clear that soothing melodies can make it easier to heal sickness. On top of ancient traditions, preventive medicines included inscriptions carved over whalebone.
The Norse people would use healing techniques that combined medical and magical practices to cure illnesses. Current CBD cream products appeared in the ancient Scandinavian countries in the 8th to 10th century when they were thought to have been used as painkillers. The Viking culture was primarily responsible for bringing cannabis-infused topicals into Scandinavia and using them to treat a wide range of ailments such as inflammation, cramps, and other sorts of intractable pains.
