According to The Virginian-Pilot, the Commonwealth of Virginia has delayed the implementation of its recreational marijuana laws until January 1, 2024.
This unexpected setback is a major setback for the marijuana industry in Virginia, as the state was one of the most anticipated in the US to begin sales of recreational marijuana. The delay will also delay the money that was slated to be generated by the sale of recreational marijuana.
