It\u2019s when I indulge in being-in-the-moment activities like just staring out the window \u2013 matcha cup in hand, thoughts unfettered.<\/p>\n<p>In the morning the world feels fresh, and so do I.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, I do my best thinking, my yoga, and my meditative practices in the morning, and it\u2019s when I feel my most optimistic, empowered, and ready to take on the world. (Practice yoga with me.)<\/p>\n<p>In short, the morning is a blissful, fleeting moment of connection before the entropy of the day begins.<\/p>\n<p>Unless\u2026 it isn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>Because maybe it\u2019s not for you. <\/p>\n<p>Many people tell me, \u201cYeah, Ann, I\u2019d love to get up earlier, but I\u2019m just not a \u2018morning person.&#8217;\u201d And it\u2019s not that I don\u2019t believe their sincerity, it\u2019s that I\u2019m unwilling to see things as cut and dried, and carved in stone.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most beautiful truths of life is that you can become what you want to become with dedication, motivation, and most importantly, desire.<\/p>\n<p>See, maybe you haven\u2019t been a morning person in the past, but that doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t become one. (I share several secrets on this in the video, such as the concept of neuroplasticity, as well as the science of habits.)<\/p>\n<p>In essence, humans can change.<\/p>\n<p>Hallelujah.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously I\u2019m passionate about the efficacy of getting up early, and implementing a powerful morning routine. Clearly. But that doesn\u2019t mean I don\u2019t understand how challenging getting up early can be.
