Fact: you canβt heal your body when your nervous system is fried. π©π₯π΅βπ« The best thing you can do for your pelvic floor health is to slow down, get quiet, and meditate. π§ββοΈ This #short shows a few different positions you can try.
For a few minutes: focus on your in-breath and outbreath, or maybe on the sound of the clock ticking. Thatβs all there is to it. You donβt have to clear your mind or have some type of existential experienceβ¦ just focus on the breath. This begins to rebalance your nervous system and reprogram your brain away from constant stress, hypervigilance, and trauma drive β which is when your healing is motivated by your wounding and your fears.
Most of us are running around with fried nervous systems these days β sometimes we even take pride in being busy, rushed, constantly connected, βplugged in,β and stressed. This slowing down is counter-culture, AND itβs the best thing we can do for ourselves.
