I’m your host, and today I want to take you on a journey to discover how to organize your day for anxiety healing. If you’ve ever found yourself confused about the best approach to managing your anxiety throughout the day, you’re not alone. I’ve been there too, and I know how frustrating it can be.
In the morning, I recommend focusing on lightness and laughter (this morning anxiety YouTube video will guide you). It’s easy to wake up and immediately start worrying about your symptoms or how your day will go. But instead, try to find moments of lightness and laughter. You can start with laughter practices like laughter yoga or EFT tapping exercises. These practices may seem unusual, but they can help change your perspective and release tension.
Mirror work is another powerful tool against morning anxiety
When you look in the mirror and laugh unconditionally, you may discover hidden fears and traumas that have been holding you back. Embrace these moments of self-discovery.
As the day progresses into the afternoon, it’s essential to remind yourself to rest and digest. Often, our minds race with thoughts, and we find ourselves in a constant state of overthinking and analysis. To counter this, try humming, a simple yet effective technique to stimulate your vagus nerve and calm anxiety. Prayer can also be helpful, but remember that it’s a collaboration, not a plea of victimhood.
Watch your physical speed in the afternoon. Anxiety often makes us rush, so consciously slow down. Deep breathing exercises can help soothe your nerves, and expressing safety toward your inner child can be a reassuring practice.
In the evening, focus on preparing for sleep and not on stopping anxiety
Avoid stimulating activities like action-packed movies or going out too late. Instead, opt for calming practices such as Epsom salt baths to boost magnesium levels, sipping on holy basil tea, and engaging in meditation. Simple meditations can guide you toward a peaceful night’s sleep.
Remember, this healing journey is not rigid. It’s intuitive, and you should listen to your inner guidance as you progress. Your healing path may vary from day to day, and that’s perfectly okay.
As you embrace these daily practices, you’ll find yourself falling in love with your self-care routine and, ultimately, your anxiety healing journey. It’s about putting your heart into the process and enjoying the journey. You are more than anxiety, and I believe in your ability to overcome it.
